Attosecond electron microscopy
<p indent="0mm">To achieve direct visualization of the dynamic motion of microscopic particles inside matter, researchers are constantly exploring new experimental methods and technologies with higher temporal and spatial resolution. Attosecond electron microscopy combines ultrafast laser pulses and electron pulses, based on a pump-probe scheme, to provide both attosecond temporal resolution and atomic-level spatial resolution simultaneously, thereby providing key experimental parameters and technical methods for in-depth understanding of the microscopic mechanism and dynamics of matter, and achieving a fundamental understanding, manipulation and application of macroscopic physical properties. Attosecond electron microscopy has become an international research hotspot since its inception. In this study, the cutting-edge research progress of ultrafast electron microscopy, the generation of attosecond electron pulses and the attosecond electron microscopy will be briefly introduced.
