THE GENRE OF PIANO SONATA IN THE WORKS OF RUSSIAN COMPOSERS OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE 20TH CENTURY

The article examines piano sonatas of Russian composers of the 20th century. The focus of the study is the specifics of the genre under consideration. The conceptual properties of many works are revealed. The pitch, rhythmic, and textural qualities of the sonatas under consideration are analysed. Aspects of formation that are influenced by integrative processes are determined.
