THE ASSOCIATION OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC: PAST AND PRESENT

The article gives an overview of the activities of various musical associations, emphasising the activities of the Association of Contemporary Music (ACM) in different time periods: from its inception in the first quarter of the 20th century to the end of the first quarter of the 21st century. The communities with this name, operating in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, were divided. The main focus is on the activities of the Association of Contemporary Music at the Saint Petersburg Union of Composers, which was active at the turn of the century.
