Active hydrogen tuning by copper–cobalt bimetal catalysts for boosting ammonia electrosynthesis from simulated wastewater

We propose a pathway based on in situ Raman and ATR-SEIRAS results. The Cu sites activate NO 3 − to *NO 2 − and Co(OH) 2 derived from metallic Co can provide sufficient *H for hydrogenation of *NO 2 − to NH 3 .

We propose a pathway based on in situ Raman and ATR-SEIRAS results. The Cu sites activate NO 3 − to *NO 2 − and Co(OH) 2 derived from metallic Co can provide sufficient *H for hydrogenation of *NO 2 − to NH 3 .
