El Procés catalán: Influencia en la Inversión y Población
The holding of the Catalan self-determination referendum on 1 October 2017 was a historic event that has changed the socio-political landscape of Catalan and Spanish society. In this paper we try to understand the historical background that triggered this event, but with the novelty of developing a study on the effects that the ‘procés’ has caused in the medium term on investment and the population of Catalonia, for this we will collect these data on this region and we will apply a series of statistical tests such as the Student's t-test and the Mann-Whitney U-test to obtain a set of results, from which we can finally approach to deduce the relevance of the procés in the medium term in Catalan and Spanish society, politics and economy. This paper can be useful to policy-makers, economists, and those who would also like to learn about a different approach to the issue of the procés.
