Generalized Arctan-Laplace Distribution: Properties and Applications

A new asymmetric counterpart of the Laplace distribution is introduced, the Arctan-Laplace distribution. Its mathematical properties are studied. Flexibility of the proposed distribution family is demonstrated using a real data set.
