The work addresses the importance of pedagogical games for the effectiveness of the educational agent's performance, as well asits role in the teaching-learning process of mathematics in the face of the impacts of the benefits brought by the practice of ludic; this being indispensable in the professional formation and for the development of the learning of the same. With the objective of recognizing the range of adversities to achieve excellence in the applicability of pedagogical practice and the epistemological influence of play and the dialectical method to facilitate the critical sense of the evaluation of the level of the agent's activity in the school environment, through a qualitative approach through research of relevant authors on the subject such as Freire, Kishimoto, Piaget, Smole, Vygotsky and among others, in addition to a questionnaire with a professional, it was possible to elucidate their experience regarding education and pedagogical games in an attempt to optimize learning of math content. It is possible to highlight that when working with games and making this approach a pedagogical practice inherent to the performance, this gradually becomes a cultural ballast which results in the development of the educational agent and consequently makes their actions palatable in the face of the nuances that govern the world. school for the other components that make up the environment. Thus, it is essential to practice this method for the learning of mathematics, which allows the conclusion of the relevance of the study of pedagogical games for the exercise of the educational agent.
