Environmental Social Governance, Standardized Quality Management Systems, and Green Innovation: Evidence from Brazil
In recent decades, global human activities have exerted significant pressure on the environment, resulting in severe environmental issues and increased natural disasters.Solving these challenges extends beyond government policies, as organizations and companies play a crucial role in mitigating environmental impacts. In today's business landscape, organizations face a dual imperative: achieving efficiency and market share through constant innovation while upholding ethical responsibility and societal coherence. This research explores how Environmental Social Governance (ESG) aspects, coupled with standardized quality and environmental management systems, contribute to enhancing Corporate Green Innovation. The econometric findings indicate that the adoption of ISO 9000 series model certificates fosters the development of green corporate innovation.Similarly, a positive coefficient supports the assumption that Corporate Green Innovation is positively influenced by the adoption of Environmental Management Systems like ISO 14001.Moreover, the study reveals that the implementation of internal Good Practices programs, such as Six Sigma, Lean, Lean Six Sigma, TQM, and others, positively impacts Brazilian Corporate Green Innovation.
