RATIONALE FOR CONSIDERING THE AIRCRAFT AND INSTALLED EQUIPMENT AS A SINGLE INTEGRATED SYSTEM WHEN CONDUCTING AN ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY ASSESSMENT DURING TESTING

The article discusses the aggravation of the electromagnetic compatibility problem, that arose as a result of the aircraft equipment technological improvement. It was determined that consideration of the aircraft and the installed equipment as a single integrated system within the framework of a single methodology allows to ensure their electromagnetic compatibility. At the same time, it is shown that for the implementation of electromagnetic compatibility at the stages of the life cycle of an aircraft, preference should be given to experimental methods of conducting assessments, since it is these methods that allow taking into account the real schematic, structural and other features of aircraft equipment. The use of microelectronics and digital technologies on the existing aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine allowed to improve the tactical and technical characteristics of the onboard equipment. At the same time, as a result of the equipment components miniaturization, it became possible to install additional equipment that ensures an increase in the on-board equipment efficiency without deteriorating the basic tactical and technical characteristics of the aircraft. The reverse side of these processes became a sharp aggravation of the problem of electromagnetic compatibility provision of newly installed equipment due to a significant deterioration of the overall immunity. This circumstance is due to the fact that highly sensitive radio-electronic equipment, which operates in a wide frequency range, is integrated into complicated complexes that are located in a limited space in close proximity to the electric cables of the power supply system, as well as other electricity consumers, many of those generate interference in a wide frequency range. Additional difficulties in providing electromagnetic compatibility equipment for aircraft appeared in connection with the wide use of the updated element base and cables (wires), for those there is no domestic experience in their practical application. Therefore, today the issue of electromagnetic compatibility assessment during testing of aircraft is an important and relevant scientific and technical task.
