Ecological and biological features of the cultivation of shrubby introduced plants in the conditions of the Central Chernozem region

The article presents the results of research to identify the optimal method of mulching with recycled wood waste for the successful cultivation of shrubby introduced plants growing in the Central Chernozem region in conditions of unstable moisture. The results of the research have shown that in order to maintain a high level of soil moisture, the optimal way of mulching for shrubby introducers of the Central Chernozem region is to apply mulch from recycled wood waste to a depth of 5-10 cm into the previously loosened ground. If it is impossible to loosen the soil, a method of applying mulch to the soil surface can be used. The introduction of mulch from recycled wood waste in the territory of the introduced species is the optimal way of mulching to maintain a high level of soil moisture.
