Modeling of Stress-Strain State in Multilayer Film Systems Depending on Thermal Load
Applying nanocomposite nanostructured coatings to the surface of the contact zones of the metalworking tool, which are under the influence of significant thermal, physical-chemical and contact-force loads, increases their wear resistance, protects the tool from high temperatures and improves the corresponding tribological properties. In our work the thermomechanical characteristics of $\mathrm{TiAIN}, \mathrm{TiCN} / \alpha-$ Al<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> O<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">3</inf> and $\mathrm{TiAIN} / \alpha-\mathrm{Al}_{2} \mathrm{O}_{3}$ film systems, three-layer $\mathrm{TiC} / \mathrm{Al}_{2} \mathrm{O}_{3} / \mathrm{TiN}$ and $\mathrm{TiN} / \mathrm{Al}_{2} \mathrm{O}_{3} / \mathrm{TiC}$ coatings were investigated. These coatings provide high heat resistance at high cutting speeds and sufficient wear resistance of the tool. Two modes of coatings behavior are found, which correspond to the Hooke section of loading diagram, and the region of plastic flow. The heat-shielding characteristics of these structures were studied.
