Universality of Fission-Gas-Bubbles Growth in Amorphous Uranium Silicide

In the framework of proposed generalized approach to study dynamics of fission gas bubble growth and coalescence in amorphous uranium silicide is proposed. Scaling properties of ensemble of bubbles are discussed in both stages related to growth and coalescence. It was found that scaling properties are governed by fission rate and temperature. It is shown that statistical distributions over bubble size are of universal character. Analytic results are verified by numerical simulations. Obtained data are compared with experimental observations.

Abstract

In the framework of proposed generalized approach to study dynamics of fission gas bubble growth and coalescence in amorphous uranium silicide is proposed. Scaling properties of ensemble of bubbles are discussed in both stages related to growth and coalescence. It was found that scaling properties are governed by fission rate and temperature. It is shown that statistical distributions over bubble size are of universal character. Analytic results are verified by numerical simulations. Obtained data are compared with experimental observations.
