Faults and Transients Observed in Continuous Distribution-Level Point-on-Wave Data
In this paper, a dataset of continuous point-on-wave measurements that are sampled at a rate of 2000 Hz for several months at three distribution-level locations is screened for faults and transients in current. The analysis of multiple faults and transients that have been observed in this dataset is presented. These include faults that change type and trigger network protection, faults that clear without network protection, short faults exhibiting dynamics, and very short momentary events.
