Smart Phone Correlation Analysis of HRV Between PPG and ECG in a Person’s Supine, Sitting and Standing Position
Each finger-worn tracking device using photoplethysmogram, such as Corense sensor with Elite HRV, can provide a record of continuously measured sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system activity through an analysis of inter beat intervals, the latter being correlated synchronously in real time. In the elderly, the data show exceptional properties compared with the younger subjects. We tested whether a finger-worn device can derive and describe diverse measures of heart rate and heart rate variability caused by autonomic functioning among young and elderly subjects using heart rate parameters.
