Size Effects in “Magnetic” Three-Layered Films
Using the approach proposed in the works [1, 2], the dimensional dependence of magnetoresistance ratio $\delta$, which quantitatively characterizes the giant magnetoresistance effect, on the thickness of the covering magnetic layer was theoretically investigated. It is shown that in the absence of the shunting effect, i.e. when the thickness of the covering magnetic layer coincides with the thickness of the interfaces, interlayer, and basic magnetic layer, the value of $\delta$ in a three-layered film acquires its maximum value.
