Infrastructure and Regulation: Pillars of Reliability in 6G Networks with NR+
Reliability in transmission systems is a cornerstone for achieving excellence in 6G services. This paper delves into the critical role of reliability in delivering high-quality telecommunications services, focusing on the challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of the NR+ standard in Brazil. Conducted in partnership with the university, telecommunications market players, and the regulatory agency, this research utilized a solid case analysis to develop procedures that can be applied nationwide. The study underscores the importance of robust infrastructure, appropriate regulations, and effective reliability evaluation mechanisms to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction. Standardizing rules for all market participants, along with the use of key indicators such as the Service Quality Index (SQI), Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and Service Delivery Index (SDI), as well as the assessment of factors like network retention capacity and latency, are vital for the successful deployment of 6G in Brazil. Reliability, therefore, emerges as a fundamental pillar in building a connected future with high-quality services and significant socioeconomic benefits for the country.
