Renewable Energy Integration in Countries with Underdeveloped Economies
In countries around the world, people are seeing the effects of climate change due to high levels of carbon emissions. Due to this, there has been a push to decarbonize existing energy systems and transition to renewable energy technologies. Sustainable development in the energy sector leads to the mitigation of adverse effects of greenhouse gases from burning fossil fuels. In addition to this, sustainable energy technology can lead to higher levels of energy security and economic opportunities. Therefore, renewable energy technology holds much promise for countries that have underdeveloped economies. This paper investigates renewable energy integration in countries with underdeveloped economies, revealing both advantages and disadvantages of high renewable integration. Using this information, strategies of countries with developing economies are analyzed to evaluate their application in the United States.
