Real-Time Collaboration for VR SNS Content Creation: Enhancing 3DCG Workflow Efficiency
In the field of virtual reality social networking services (VR SNS), amateur and professional creators frequently collaborate to construct intricate 3DCG environments. This collaborative effort often operates without systematic methods, and it is driven by interest rather than obligation, posing unique workflow challenges. This paper proposes a novel automated pipeline for creating and uploading VR SNS worlds from a single file. Performance evaluations demonstrate significant time savings; specifically, the workflow incorporated into the proposed method reduced the time required to create a VR SNS world by approximately 25 man-hours compared to traditional methods using modeling software and Unity. Additionally, the implementation results were effective not only on local networks but also on remote networks using a virtual private network with multiple creators collaborating. This paper will contribute to more efficient workflows for teams and enhance creator content production for VR SNS through improved collaboration.
