Real-world efficacy and safety analysis on three-day continuous intravenous pump infusion of endostar combination therapy for advanced NSCLC

Background: The real-world benefits and safety of rh-endostatin via intravenous pump infusion combined regimens for advanced NSCLC are less known. Objective: To investigate the effectiveness and safety of Endostar via intravenous pump infusion for three days in combination with other anti-tumor drugs in the real-world. Methods: This prospective study statistically analyzed the effectiveness and safety of 136 IIIB/C and VI NSCLC patients treated with Endostar via micro-infusion pump for three days in combination with chemotherapy, EGFR-TKIs, or immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). Results: 62 (45.6%) patients received Endostar combined with chemotherapy(E+C), 29 (21.3%) patients received Endostar combined with EGFR-TKI (E+T), 31 patients (22.8%) received Endostar combined with ICIs(E+I), 14 patients (10.3%) were treated with Endostar combined with chemotherapy and ICIs (E+C+I). Objective response rate(ORR) of Group(E+C) patients was 46.8%, disease control rate (DCR) was 74.2% ,and adverse events(AEs) were mainly gastrointestinal and hematological toxicity; ORR of Group(E+T) patients was 82.7% , DCR was 96.6%, and AEs were mainly rash and oral mucositis; ORR of Group(E+I) patients was 70.9% , DCR was 80.6%, and AEs were gastrointestinal reactions, elevated transaminase and fatigue; ORR of Group(E+C+I) patients was 71.4% , DCR was 85.7%, and AEs were similar to Group(E+C) patients. Endostar via micro-infusion pump did not increase the incidence of cardiovascular events. Conclusion: Endostar via micro-infusion pump for three days in combination with other anti-tumor drugs is an potentially effective and safe treatment option for advanced NSCLC.
