Evaluation of private sector mustard (Brassica juncea L.) genotypes under agro-climatic zone of Prayagraj U.P.

A field experiment was conducted at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, SHUATS, Prayagraj (U.P) during Rabi, 2023-24. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with nine varieties each replicated thrice. The findings indicate that the higher plant height (123.06 cm). The varieties with the maximum number of branches/plant (24.73). The highest dry weight/plant (94.23 g), number of siliqua/plant (451.98), seeds/siliqua (17.73), test weight (6.34 g), seed yield (2.35 t/ha), stover yield (5.14 t/ha) and Harvest Index (37.06%) in M-400. Maximum gross return (INR 130905/ha), net return (INR 81592/ha) and B:C ratio (1:97) in M-400.
