THE LINK BETWEEN PERSONAL RESOURCES AND SUCCESS INDICATORS OF FOOTBALL PLAYERS

In the 2021/22 season we diagnosed 64 players, aged 17. The criteria characterising the success of young football players were the expert assessments of the coach and the level at which each of the players found themselves after graduating from the football academy. The main goal of the study was to identify those characteristics of personal potential that would significantly correlate with the identified criteria for the success of football players. The results obtained expand the theoretical understanding of personal predictors of performance in football and can be used in designing a psychological training programme for young players.
