FEATURES OF PIPA DEVELOPMENT IN THE TRADITIONAL CULTURE OF CHINA IN THE ASPECT OF THE PERFORMANCE TECHNIQUE FORMATION

The article is devoted to the formation of the pipa performing culture in China. The features of the instrument’s development are considered in the context of historical evolution, the main stages of its formation are determined, the distinctive features of the pipa’s design are described and changes in the performance technique are revealed. The significance of interethnic contacts in the pipa’s adaptation in Chinese traditional musical culture is established.
