Parameters determination of the photovoltaic cell model

Abstract The dual diode model of photovoltaic cells has high accuracy, but there are seven parameters to be sought. To improve the accuracy of photovoltaic cell models and facilitate parameters determination, a method for determining the parameters of a dual diode photovoltaic cell model is proposed based on the three state point data provided by photovoltaic cell manufacturers under standard testing conditions, using the maximum power point derivative method. By using the Simulink software, the photovoltaic cell model was simulated, and we can obtain that the maximum relative error of voltage of the model was 0.8139%, and the maximum relative error of power was 1.0537%, with significantly higher accuracy than the R s model and the R p model.
