Research on Optimal Location and Sizing of Distributed Power Flow Controller Based on Gravitational Search Algorithm

The application of Distributed Power Flow Controller (DPFC) in the power grid can improve the transmission power capacity of the system transmission line and make the power flow control mode of the system more flexible and reliable. This paper introduces the topology and working principle of DPFC, and establishes a DPFC location and capacity optimization model with the goal of system node voltage fluctuation, load fluctuation and network loss. In the solution process, a Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA) is proposed. The IEEE-33 node distribution system is taken as an example for simulation verification. The results show that the method has good convergence and global search ability in solving the DPFC location and capacity problem.
