A Measurement of Aerospace Embedded Software Trustworthiness
The purpose of this paper is to provide new evidence on software trustworthiness in the software engineering, a topic of great interest in the academic literature during the last several years. To this end, this paper chooses aerospace embedded software credibility as an investigated object, which acts as a critical determinant ensuring successful carrying out spaceflight missions. Through combining subjective and objective approaches, this study designs a model, which measures aerospace software credibility on the footing of software credibility attributes. This study develops an assessment of 11 pieces of moon-to-earth high speed reentry vehicle software in trustworthiness. The researching results reveal that the proposed model and methodology are of rationality and robustness in assessing software trustworthiness and can find weak links in the software-developing process. And this matters much to improving the quality of aerospace embedded model software. This study concludes with pointing out pitfalls and the future research direction.
