Ultra-wideband Metamaterials Absorber with Wide-Incident angle and full-Polarization Properties

In this paper, we proposed an Ultra-wideband metamaterial absorber (MMA) with wide-incident-angle stability and full-polarization properties. The unit cell is a two-layer composite structure based on indium tin oxide (ITO) and polystyrene foams with size of 20.0 mm × 20.0 mm × 10.0 mm. The simulation results indicate that at a normal incidence angle, the design offers greater than 90.0% absorption rate from frequency 3.61 GHz to 24.32 GHz with an absorption bandwidth of 20.71 GHz. The absorber is polarization insensitive and has wide-angle absorbing characteristics for both transverse magnetic (TM) and transverse electric (TE) modes.
