Analytical Calculation of Spatial Harmonics of Winding Functions for Induction Machines
In rotating electrical machines, the windings are housed in the slots of the cores, resulting in a discrete spatial distribution. The magnetomotive force produced by this distribution can be analyzed using winding functions. The usual procedure for calculating these functions is the Winding Function Approach. In this work, a new method is proposed for the analytical calculation of the spatial harmonics of these functions using Fourier Series. The analytical calculation of these spatial harmonics allows for the analytical determination of the harmonics of the machine's electrical and magnetic variables.
