Two-Layer Optimization Model of Hybrid Energy Storage Microgrid System in Multiple Scenarios
In view of the significant impact of renewable energy on the stability and economy of the power system, a hybrid energy storage system (HESS) is added to solve the problem of peak load balancing. A two-layer optimal configuration paradigm is suggested in this research. The upper layer is set up with the storage elements' objective being the layer with the lowest annual integrated operating cost of the hybrid energy storage system. The lower layer is configured with the minimum net load variance as the objective function, while the upper and lower limits of wind power and wind power output, wind and light abandonment rate, power balance and other constraints are added. The Karush-Kuhn-Tucher (KKT) condition and Big-M method are used to transform the lower layer constraints. Finally, four scenarios are set up to analyze and evaluate the logic and efficiency of the proposed two-tier optimal allocation model in this paper through arithmetic case analysis.
