Energy Storage System Control Strategy Considering Battery Lifespan
This article addresses the issue of hierarchical utilization of power batteries in energy storage systems and proposes a new battery control strategy focused on extending battery lifespan through optimizing the charging and discharging processes. We first establish a comprehensive battery life prediction model that considers in detail the state of charge (SOC), depth of discharge (DOD), and their impact on battery aging. Furthermore, a charging and discharging strategy based on real-time SOC adjustment is designed. By dynamically adjusting the operating state of the battery during charging and discharging processes, the strategy aims to slow down battery degradation. Experimental results demonstrate that compared to conventional control strategies, this strategy significantly improves the efficiency and lifespan of the battery, reduces maintenance costs, thereby effectively enhancing the overall performance and reliability of the energy storage system.
