Real-Time Monitoring of Atmospheric Air Pollutants using Sensor Integrated UAV
In this work, we proposed an unmanned aerial drone-based air quality monitoring system. This system includes an integrated sensor unit of PMS5003, DHT22 and MG811 interfaced with Wi-Fi enable microcontroller board. It is no worthy to inform that the drone and multi sensor unit are assemble after taking consecutive literature. This multi sensor unit interfaced board are re-programmable using the Arduino integrated development environment (IDE) platform. The assembled quadcopter is hovered for 5 min at a particular location with altitude of ~ 50 m from the GCS. Further, the collected data are sent to the IoT cloud via internet in the real time scenario. The measurement and data acquisition are performed for 30 days to get the reliable result. This data acquired shows good quality of air in this particular location with references to air quality index (AQI). Overall, this portable sensor integrated UAV system can be used for accurate data collection for analysing the environment pollution.
