Ultra-wide Power Range High-Efficiency RF Rectifier

In this thesis, a dual-branch dual-load parallel rectifier circuit structure is adopted. By adding a T-type unequal division structure for automatic power distribution, a band-stop structure is added at the end of the diode to expand the dynamic range of impedance matching, achieving wide dynamic input power matching and improving conversion efficiency. The open-circuited microstrip line TL11 and the π-type microstrip structure at the front end of the diode dynamically change the input voltage through passive voltage adjustment, which can reduce diode loss and eliminate the overlap of voltage and current harmonics, thereby reducing the diode's turn-on loss. By changing the voltage at both ends of the diode, the rectification efficiency can be improved, and the optimal working power point of the diode can be adjusted. Then, according to the needs, the two rectifier branches work efficiently under different input powers, thus achieving high conversion efficiency of the circuit over a wide input power dynamic range. Simulation results show that the rectification efficiency of the rectifier circuit reaches a maximum of 76.9% at a frequency of 5.8 GHz and an impedance of 650 Ω with an input power of 15 dBm, and the rectification efficiency is greater than 50% in the input power range of -0.1 dBm to 36.4 dBm, achieving high-efficiency rectification over an ultra-wide input power dynamic range.
