Experimental Evaluation of the Battery-Assisted 2kW Inverter Efficiency Indicators
This research investigates the efficiency of battery-assisted (photovoltaic) inverter, offering an experimental evaluation of the efficiency indicators. Efficiency was assessed by calculating the output-to-input power ratio across various load points, revealing a range from 81.6% to 96.0%. The study determined key efficiency indicators, with the California Energy Commission (CEC) efficiency at 93.7% and European Union (EU) efficiency at 94.1%. The results underscore the importance of advancing PV inverter technologies to enhance the reliability and sustainability of autonomous electric power supply systems, particularly in the context of Ukraine's energy resilience. However, experimental inaccuracies, such as voltage drops and heating effects on load resistance, were noted. Future research will focus on addressing these inaccuracies and refining methods to improve measurement accuracy across different power profiles and PV inverters.
