Optimal Flexibility Dispatching of Multi-Pumped Hydro Storage Stations
The increasing penetration rate of renewable energy with greatly fluctuation and randomness has led to the increasing flexibility demand in the power system. In this paper, an optimal dispatching model considering the optimal flexibility supply of multi-pumped hydro storage (PHS) stations is proposed. Firstly, the definition of flexibility demand of power system is given, and the on model of flexibility demand is calculated. Secondly, based on the operation characteristics of PHS stations, considering the constraints of storage capacity of different hydropower conversion coefficients of each PHS station and the reserved time for conversion of working conditions, a more refined operation model of PHS station is established. Considering the regional power allocation constraints of PHS stations, the flexibility supply model of PHS stations to each region is established. Then, by combining the PHS station models and the flexibility demand calculation model, the optimal dispatching model for the flexibility supply of multi-PHS stations considering regional power allocation constraints is presented. Finally, based on the network dispatching example, the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed strategy are verified by a case study.
