Optimising Electric Vehicle Selection in India: A Hybrid WASPAS and AHP Approach
There has been an inclined shift towards the usage of electric vehicles in India due to environmental concerns and government policies of incentives. However, the most challenging issue when it comes to EVs is finding the perfect model out of the many available in the market. In this paper, we show an mathematical approach that involves the MCDA in the process of decision making. More specifically, the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method is used to sort the alternatives to the best choice, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used to find how much weightage should be given to the criterion. However, by combining of these methods, it is easier to establish a sound evaluation bearing in mind the key factors like price, range, charging time, battery power, and torque.
