Design of novel two port Square Spiral Hexa-band MIMO Antenna for wireless applications
A compact two-element Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna is designed for portable wireless multiband applications, named as Square Spiral Multiband MIMO antenna (SSMMA). It is designed on a FR4 substrate with a compact size of 56 mm × 72 mm × 1.57 mm covering hexa-band at 2.1GHz(1.95-2.3GHz), 3.6 GHz (3.57–3.62 GHz), 4.2 GHz (4.13– 4.27 GHz), 5.2 GHz (5.20–5.27 GHz), 6 GHz (5.82–6.15 GHz), and 6.9 GHz (6.81–7.07 GHz). The suggested antenna is created via a series of intermediate design stages that begin with a traditional rectangular monopole antenna and culminate with a square spiral antenna. Ansys HFSS software is utilized for modelling the antenna, with simulation results indicating diversity parameters like peak realized gain (7dBi), ECC (<0.05), MEG (around 0), TARC(<-10dB) and DG(>9.9dB). This competitor works best with wireless devices looking for a single device that combines 2.1GHz(n1, n34 5G band), 3.5-GHz (WiMAX band), 5.2 & 5.8GHz (ISM band) and 6.8GHz (satellite communication band).
