Modeling and Simulation of Prepaid GSM based Smart Energy Meter with Load Management
This research paper presents a comprehensive study on the modeling and prototyping of a prepaid GSM-based smart energy meter with load management. As the need for effective energy management systems rises, the development of intelligent meters has become imperative. This paper addresses the need for a prepaid energy metering system coupled with load control functionalities to promote energy conservation and cost-effectiveness. The proposed model integrates GSM technology for remote monitoring and control, enhancing accessibility and convenience for both consumers and utility providers. Through rigorous modeling techniques and prototyping, the paper demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed system in accurately measuring energy consumption, implementing prepaid billing mechanisms, and enabling load control features to optimize energy usage. The research findings highlight the potential of the intelligent energy metering system to revolutionize traditional energy management practices, fostering sustainability and efficiency in the power sector.
