Control System and Structure Optimisation Study of PDCPD RIM Mixing Head

s-The PDCPD reaction injection moulding process is automated by a control system comprising three subsystems: an electrical control system, a hydraulic control system and a temperature control system. The PLC, control cabinet, OP panel, hydraulic pumps, motors, relief valves, temperature sensors and electrical heating tubes are among the original components that work together in the delivery of the original liquid, metering, mixing, reacting and moulding. The control system's accuracy in proportioning the original liquid is at least ±1.5 percent. A study of the hydraulic system controlling the two-piston shaft for reciprocating cycle work revealed a stress concentration phenomenon in the piston shaft within the sealing ring groove, which has a significant impact on the accuracy of the control system. In order to enhance the precision of the control system, this paper proposes an optimised piston shaft structure and performs finite element simulation analysis to determine the optimal dimensional parameters. Subsequently, a stability analysis is conducted, and the results of theoretical analysis and simulation optimisation are presented. It is demonstrated that the optimised piston shaft structure can reduce stress concentration, enhance the precision of the control system, and reinforce the reliability of the PDCPD mixing head.

Abstract

s-The PDCPD reaction injection moulding process is automated by a control system comprising three subsystems: an electrical control system, a hydraulic control system and a temperature control system.
