Research on a Collaborative Design Platform for Satellite Development
Satellite development commonly employs a collaborative design approach that utilizes documents and intermediate-format 3D models, all centrally managed by a PLM (Product Life-cycle Management) system. This approach suffers from issues like disparate data sources, poor data continuity and traceability, and low efficiency in multi-disciplinary collaboration. As satellite development complexity increases, this approach fails to meet the rising demands for complexity, cost, and development cycle requirements. This paper proposes an integrated collaborative design platform for multi-disciplinary, multi-user environments. The platform integrates various design tools and data management functions, establishes a model of activities and data flows, and adopts a single data source strategy. The platform supports data-driven, multi-disciplinary online collaborative design within a unified environment. Its effectiveness is validated through a collaborative design case involving system, telecontrol&telemetry, and testing. Demonstrating improved efficiency and data-driven satellite design. It has conclusively demonstrated that the proposed approach can effectively enhance the efficiency and reliability of satellite development.
