Air Quality and Mango Ripening Monitoring System for Mango Units
This study addresses the complex process of mango ripening by designing a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced monitoring and control systems. The facility manages ethylene levels, temperature, humidity, CO2, and methane to ensure efficient and safe ripening. Ripening chambers with automated controls maintain optimal conditions, while air quality management protocols in the office area ensure safe CO2 and particulate matter (PM) levels for workers. Our findings demonstrate that the controlled environment in the ripening chambers facilitates uniform mango ripening, maintaining high safety standards. Additionally, the air quality measures effectively keep CO2 and PM levels within acceptable limits, ensuring a safe working environment for employees. This research provides a significant contribution to food production and occupational health by integrating advanced technologies to manage the ripening process while prioritizing worker safety and well-being.
