Hiding Information using Image Steganography
Image steganography is the procedure of concealing confidential information within a picture in a manner that it is imperceptible to human eyes. The word Stego in Greek means ‘cover’ and grafia means ‘writing’ so this can be termed as cover writing. This technique is used to secure data by concealing it from unauthorized access. This research paper's main objective is to provide an overview of image steganography and its techniques. The paper also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of image steganography and its applications. Deep learning algorithms used for this practice can be segregated into branches: Conventional Methods such as LSB replacement, LSB matching, DCT and DWT) and CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) based methods. This paper contains all the clustered procedures, limitations, benefits and barriers faced in advancement of this field.
