Seamless Subaquatic Connectivity: Harnessing Li-Fi for Underwater Communication

This project investigates underwater communication utilizing Li-Fi technology. Two Arduino Nano microcontrollers orchestrate communication, employing Li-Fi modules for data transfer. Comprehensive environmental monitoring is achieved by integrating heart rate, temperature, and humidity sensors on both sides. Real-time notifications are provided through buzzer alerts and LED indicators, while four switches enable users to transmit specific messages. The report delves into the system design, software development, and testing procedures, presenting the achieved data transfer rate and analyzing factors influencing communication performance. Additionally, it showcases the successful integration of sensor data, demonstrating the potential of Li-Fi for underwater communication due to its high bandwidth and immunity to electromagnetic interference. However, the project acknowledges limitations such as water absorption and reduced range. Finally, the report concludes by suggesting future research directions to further develop and optimize this promising technology for diverse underwater applications.
