Revolutionizing Bone Injury Diagnosis with Advanced Deep Learning Approaches

This research delves into the critical issue of detecting and classifying bone fractures using advanced image analysis techniques. Accurate and timely identification of bone fractures is essential for effective treatment, given their prevalence and significant impact on patient recovery. Early detection plays a crucial role in reducing complications and enhancing overall healing. The study utilizes a dataset of 4,906 X-ray images, divided into two categories: fractured and non-fractured. A Sequential Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model is applied, achieving an impressive 98% accuracy in fracture classification. This is based on a training set of 4,099 images, a testing set of 401 images, and an additional 406 images for validation. The results underscore the effectiveness of deep learning in medical imaging for accurate and efficient fracture diagnosis, showcasing its potential to enhance healthcare outcomes.
