Design and Analysis of 2-Pole Linear Induction Motor Using Ansys
A type of special electrical machine that transforms electrical energy into mechanical energy for translational motion is the linear electric motor. For use in actuation and transportation systems, linear motors (LM) are incredibly efficient drive systems. There are three primary advantages of linear induction motors. First, during the assembling process, there are no magnetic attraction forces to deal with. Secondly, extended journey distances are achievable. Thirdly, their ratings for continuous force and acceleration are exceptionally high. This work proposes the theoretical and 3D ANSYS Model Design and analysis of a 2-pole, single-side, single-layer winding of a linear induction motor. Thrust characteristics, induced voltages, flux linkages, and current waveforms are analyzed by applying a three-phase ac voltage. Through ANSYS Model Analysis calculations, the linear induction motor's output characteristics and static magnetic field are analyzed.
