Design and Fabrication of an Electrical Sheet by Waste Wood Fibre Reinforced Functionalized Polypropylene Composite
Abstract Utilizing natural resources is essential for sustainable development and circular economy. Polymeric composites reinforced with natural fibers are now being used to design commodity, commercial and engineering products. This study develops eco-friendlier composites of waste wood fibre (WWF) reinforced maleic anhydride functionalized (MAF) polypropylene (PP) composite (WWF/MAF-PP) by the Palsule process by extrusion followedby manufacturing by injection moulding. An electric bulb / electrical round sheet has been designed and fabricated using WWF/MAF-PP composites by injection moulding as a replacement for the existing commercial plastic sheet.
