Smart Hull Monitoring Solution For Jackup Units
The maritime industry has long faced the challenge of ensuring the structural integrity of vessels operating in harsh environmental conditions. Jack-up units, which are critical for offshore drilling and construction, require rigorous maintenance and monitoring due to their unique operational environment and structural complexities. The existing monitoring systems often fall short in providing actionable insights and recommendations for repair and maintenance, leading to recurring issues and increased operational risks. This paper presents a detailed examination of the Structural Health Monitoring System (SHMS) developed by Xiamen Sango Marine Technology Co., Ltd and Capital Ship Solutions (CSS). The SHMS aims to address these gaps by integrating comprehensive hull structure monitoring, yielding assessments, and deformation evaluations specifically tailored for jack-up rigs and platform structure.
