Challenges and prospects of digital transformation in Georgian hotel business
Today, the sharp growth of technological innovations and the explosion of the digital world have made travel much more interesting and accessible for travelers. The increase in the number of travelers has naturally expanded the service market and the demand for quality. The hotel business is practically dependent on modern information technologies. Based on services relying on modern technologies, Georgia's hotel industry faces challenges. The thesis covers the development trends of the hotel industry, the processes of developing and managing tourist services, the level of service quality, and the issues of using international information technologies. It also addresses the use of property management systems and the complex, global distribution networks of hotel businesses. The relevance of the topic is determined by the results of measures aimed at increasing the efficiency of hotel operations, the significant positive characteristics of the implemented property management system (PMS), and the advantages of online reservations in the modern hotel business. It should be noted that at the modern stage, online booking systems have become an integral feature of the accommodation industry. We deemed it important to study the role and significance of global online booking systems in Georgia's hotel industry.
