O IMPACTO E A IMPORTÂNCIA DA PREVENÇÃO AO ABUSO E EXPLORAÇÃO SEXUAL DE CRIANÇAS, À LUZ DA LEGISLAÇÃO BRASILEIRA

Violence is one of the biggest problems to be faced in our country, as it shows itself in different types, and affects all layers of the population, regardless of economic condition, race, creed or location. One of the most perverse ways in which it presents itself is in the abuse and exploitation of children and adolescents, since according to data from the Ministry of Health (2018), most cases are committed by people close to the victim, such as parents, uncles, neighbors, among others. This becomes more serious considering that for a considerable portion of society, dealing with this subject is something taboo, and even considered something belonging to the culture of the place where the fact happens. In view of the relevance of this theme, and the pertinent way in which it occurs, it is necessary to study how the social, economic, and cultural structures of Brazil favor these practices, to analyze the impacts they bring on the victims. Therefore, because it is a subject that is frequently reported, since with the democratization of the media, violence has become continuously present in our lives, there is a certain knowledge about the abuse and exploitation of children and adolescents, with searches in both audiovisual (television, internet, cinema) and printed publications (scientific articles, dissemination materials produced by government agencies, magazines and newspapers) it is necessary to deepen the study of this area, in order to pursue the proposed objectives.
