Retraction

The article ‘MiR-30a-5p Suppresses Tumor Metastasis of Human Colorectal Cancer by Targeting ITGB3’ [Cell Physiol Biochem 2016;39:1165-1176. DOI: 10.1159/000447823] by Wei Wei, Yang Yang, Jian Cai, Kai Cui, Rong xian Li, Huan Wang, Xiujuan Shang and Dong Wei has been retracted by the current and former Publishers and the Editor. Following publication, concerns were raised regarding the integrity of some of the images in this article. Specifically, several instances of image duplication, with rotation and flipping of images, were found within and between Figures 2C, 2E, 5B and 5C in the control, mock, miR-30a-5P and TGB3mut images. When asked to comment, the corresponding author stated that errors had been made regarding the images of Figures 2 and 5 and that the raw data was unretrievable and requested to withdraw the article. As the concerns raised cannot be addressed or resolved, the reliability of the findings presented in the article cannot be guaranteed and the article is being retracted. The authors agree with this retraction.
