DESENVOLVIMENTO DE TECNOLOGIA EDUCACIONAL ATRAVÉS DA METODOLOGIA DE PROBLEMATIZAÇÃO PARA SETORES DE URGÊNCIA E EMERGÊNCIA
Introduction: The frequent use of mechanical ventilation requires healthcare professionals to have a comprehensive understanding of its parameters and settings. However, lack of experience due to delegating this practice to other professionals or even a scarcity of knowledge can negatively impact the quality of care. This opens up space for the exploration of technologies that can simplify the use of these devices. Objective: This article aims to report the experience of creating three flowcharts and a booklet containing the initial parameters and settings for mechanical ventilation in adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Methodology: This is a descriptive type of experience report with a qualitative approach regarding the development of three flowcharts and a booklet on the initial parameters of mechanical ventilation, targeted at nursing professionals in the Red Room of the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) located in the municipality of Tucuruí, in the state of Pará. Results and Discussions: It was observed that the professionals welcomed the technologies that serve as aids during the hectic moments of patient ventilation. The determination of the flowcharts took into consideration the age range of the patients, which proved to be fundamental for their utility, and the booklet was of utmost importance for the quick review of in-depth information. Conclusion: Ultimately, our approach aims to enhance the safety and effectiveness of mechanical ventilation in the Red Room of the UPA, directly benefiting patients who depend on this life-saving therapy. We believe that our initiative contributes significantly to achieving this goal, providing practical and accessible resources that can be implemented immediately in the clinical setting.
