The study was based on a literature review focusing on research published between 2020 and 2024. 15 articles were analyzed that discuss the benefits of water aerobics for pregnant women, including clinical trials, systematic reviews and comparative studies with other exercise modalities, such as Pilates. The studies analyzed showed that water aerobics contributes to effective weight control and improves the physical conditioning of pregnant women, in addition to relieving back pain and reducing edema. Furthermore, the practice significantly reduces stress and anxiety levels, promoting greater self-esteem and well-being. It is concluded that water aerobics is a beneficial and safe physical activity for pregnant women, promoting physical and mental health.
